I assume I will have to remove the action screws to access the trigger housing and bolt. Usually, when I'm troubleshooting or timing an action and get the bolt locked without the lever installed (almost always because it's in my lap, and not on a bench), holding it upright and just 'jiggling' the rifle rattles the locking bolt loose. One of the other action screws could be protruding into the bolt area though. When you move the bolt, it doesn't stick.
